Don't be afraid to try

What are YOU hiding behind?

I ask myself: what are we so afraid of?

If we stopped and truly believed in who we were, the world could be a magical place. Fear holds us back. We should work together to CHANGE that. Let's make a difference and take a risk.

What are you so afraid of?

"“if you set your goals ridiculously high and it's a failure, you will fail above everyone elses success”

Don't be afraid to try.

Live for who you want to be

Sometimes all I want to do is bury my head in the sand and pretend that I do not exist.
Some days wear me down to where I don't feel like I can do anything.

I know that a lot of people have experienced this feeling.
I hope that everyone knows how special they really are. If we believe in who we are, we can do anything.

We shouldn't let other people's doubt and judgments cause us to doubt ourselves. However, I know how easy it is to fall prey to this problem...

but I am HERE to tell YOU otherwise.

Wherever you are. Whoever you are. If you are reading this, YOU are special and can accomplish anything. I truly believe nothing is impossible.
Don't let ANYBODY take your dreams away or make you feel like you can't reach your goals. We have to believe in ourselves. Live for who you want to be, not how everyone else defines you.

One is Enough

Sometimes it can be scary to realize how big the world is. Sometimes it can be daunting to realize the needs that surround you. Sometimes it can make you feel useless.
We are so small. I am only one person and there are 7 billion others hoping and dreaming too.
Sometimes these doubts can get in the way.

However, I am beginning to accept and realize that I AM enough. I may not be famous. I may not be well known. I may not go down in history, but I AM making a difference.

We all have the power to change the world, and as my cousin says "we all already are."

I can make my OWN history, my OWN story, my OWN greatness.

I want people to believe in who they are.

I believe that once you believe in yourself, you begin to really change what is around you. It must come from within. I am still learning and growing.  However, I want to do it TOGETHER.

ONE IS ENOUGH....

but we CAN NOT do it ALONE.

Learning

I am almost finished with finals and can not wait for summer.
This year has taught me SO much! I have learned about who I am, who I want to be, and the world in which we all live. Every day has the potential to create endless possibilities.
We should not be afraid to try new things, meet new people, and learn new ideas. The world is bright and beautiful place and we are blessed to be a part of it. Go live! I know I will.

New Beginnings

So this week has been a week full of new ideas! I started passing around a survey to people in my classes to find out more about what people think and why.

The questions are

- What makes you happy?
-What make you sad?
-What gives you hope?
- What holds you back?
-How could your life be more fulfilling?

I have gotten a lot of interesting responses. The most common is that what holds people back is fear of being inadequate. Why are we so afraid of being imperfect? We are human after all...

I want to understand so much more and am planning on digging deeper!!

My own personal answers to these questions are as followed:
- Laughter, being with a community, travel, and beautiful days make me happy.
- Selfishness, heart break, and insecurity make me sad.
- People give me hope. I know that we are full of potential.
- Uncertainty holds me back. I don't want to mess up. (but WHY? I want to find a solution to self doubt).
- After a lot of reflection, I want to be able to say I am content with my life as is. However, I know that is a lie and I believe that knowing more and being on my own will fulfill my life. Yet I also know that in the end those things probably will not satisfy my hunger. It is something so much more than that. I believe in a God, so I believe that is what fulfills me. I need to trust in that fulfillment.

A lot of thoughts running through my head tonight... I am excited to see what tomorrow will bring.

Love the world for all it has to offer.

Overwhelemed

As finals are coming up for most students in school, this can be a stressful time, full of little time to think of anything besides cramming.
I know I am guilty of getting lost in the blur of lists and information. It feels like the world is falling apart around you and yet about to set you free into the blissful time of summer.
Summer wind wisps around our faces and the smell of sunscreen begins to linger in the air, yet we are still stuck behind desks, with a pen in our hand, and paper at our finger tips.

However, I believe that we have to look beyond that pen and paper. What are you looking forward to?
Take five minutes to go outside and breathe. The nights are beautiful no matter where you are. Enjoy the sound of silence. Go study at a local coffee shop or book store!

Nobody should get so bogged down with school that they forget that they are apart of a greater world. I invite anyone who reads this to take a few minutes to breathe, enjoy, and thank the world for all it has to offer. We are all special and powerful. Finals will pass and the world will move forward.

Good luck!! I know I need it too.
Here goes to studying.

Go ENJOY.
